Reuterina junior® (30 chew tablets)

Reuterina junior® chewable tablets is a dietary supplement containing the patented lactic acid bacterium Limosilactobacillus reuteri (formerly known as Lactobacillus reuteri) Protectis® (L. reuteri DSM 17938) that helps the good microorganisms restore a natural balance in the gut. L. reuteri Protectis® naturally colonizes humans it has a strong adaptation to persist and interact with humans.

Each chewable, strawberry-flavoured tablet contains the same amount of cultures as 5 drops of the liquid Reuterina® drops. Reuterina® chews can be given to children over the age of 2 who are able to chew a tablet. They can be used for all the same conditions for infants and children as Reuterina® drops. Reuterina junior® has been clinically validated, with beneficial effects in a variety of health conditions including:

Children older than 2 years. DURING ANTIBIOTICS: Chew one (1) tablet daily during therapy and for at least 3 days thereafter or as recommended by your healthcare professional.

DAILY USE: Chew one (1) tablet daily or as recommended by your healthcare professional.

Each Reuterina junior® chew tablet contains a minimum of 100 million (1 x 10⁸) live, freeze-dried colony forming units (CFU) Limosilactobacillus reuteri Protectis® (strain DSM 17938) until expiry.

Excipients: Calcium stearate, citric acid, isomalt, strawberry flavouring, xylitol (sweetener).

My child has been prescribed antibiotics for tonsillitis. Can I use Reuterina junior® as a probiotic during antibiotic therapy?

Reuterina junior® helps restore and maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora in children during antibiotic therapy. Your child can chew one Reuterina junior® tablet daily during antibiotic therapy and continue for at least 3 days after therapy has stopped.

Reuterina junior® is also indicated to assist your child in the daily treatment and prevention of conditions linked to an imbalance in their gastrointestinal microflora.


Will Reuterina junior® interact with my child’s other prescribed medication?

There are no known drug interactions with Reuterina junior® tablets.


Can I switch my toddler from Reuterina® drops to Reuterina junior® tablets? Will the probiotic dose be the same?

Yes. A single dose of Reuterina ® drops (5 ml) is equal to one Reuterina junior® chewable tablet.

Each dose of Reuterina® drops (0.2 ml) (5 drops) contains 100 million live, freeze-dried colony-forming units (CFUs) of Limosilactobacillus reuteri Protectis®. One Reuterina junior® chewable tablet also contains 100 million live, freeze-dried CFUs of L. reuteri Protectis® (strain DSM 17938).
